Identifying Common Types of Anxiety Disorders (MH Lesson)
Everyone gets anxious, worried, and has occasional fears. Anxiety disorders are different. Anxiety disorders refer to a wide range of difficulties characterized by disabling levels of dread, worry, and anxiety that is not brief or passing. In this lesson we will examine the six main types of anxiety disorders including: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This lesson provides checklists to identify symptoms in each of the major anxiety categories.
