Our self-centered culture is more interested in controlling other people than one’s self, and the concept of self-control is nearly forgotten. Yet it is essential for living successfully in all areas of life, including staying emotionally regulated and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Self-control can be developed and cultivated. Understanding how you can control your mood, actions, and behavior is foundational to success in your emotional recovery.
