Creating Affirming Self-Talk (MH Lesson)
Many people with mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression, desperately need support, encouragement and affirmation. For the discouraged, hearing something positive can be like a cup of cool water in a hot, parched desert. All too often, people are thirsty for affirmation and encouragement, but look for it from sources that are dry. The secret to success is to let go of the dry sources and explore abundant and fulfilling ones. This lesson will help you build a healthier self-image by listing numerous possible statements for reflection and contemplation. This affirmation exercise is designed to bring awareness to the progress you’ve already made, encourage positive attitudes, and further your character development.
