Developing Stress Management Skills (MH Lesson)
Everyone responds to stress differently. Some people shut down, while others respond by going full-speed ahead. Regardless of how you deal with it, the consequences of stress affect every area of your life: mind, body, heart, thoughts, and behavior. It is important to learn strategies to bring yourself back to a place of peace and calm before becoming overwhelmed. Then, when your stress level increases, you have the tools needed and can use them effectively. In this lesson we will consider the symptoms of a symptoms of stress, strategies to manage it, and coping skills for long-term management.
