Cultivate Your Spiritual Life (COD Lesson)
Spirituality is often defined broadly and makes room for many different perspectives and opinions. It includes being connected to something larger than yourself, and typically involves understanding the purpose and meaning of life. It is a universal concept of defining your heart or inner life and can develop and deepen your value system. Working on your spiritual life may or may not be connected to religious worship. For many, spiritual development includes religious observances, prayer or meditation, and belief in a supreme being or a higher power. For others, it may simply be connecting to something larger than oneself through music, art, nature, or fellowship with others. This lesson will help you examine your spiritual life and review your spiritual history. Also, this lesson will help you understand the importance of cultivating a deep and rich spiritual life, especially in recovery.
